- I was born and raised in De Soto, Wisconsin (Pop. 340), am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and my most recent adventure is that I am on a 9-month AmeriCorps contract in Biloxi, Mississippi, and will be volunteering with Hands On Gulf Coast (www.handsongulfcoast.org) until November, helping the city rebuild after Hurricane Katrina
